For nearly 40 years, J. Cooke Engineering has specialised in all forms of nut manufacture. Today, production exceeds 5 million nuts per week, making us the market leader in volume output with over one hundred machines dedicated to nut manufacture at two locations. Whatever you require, we can either make it, stock it, or supply it.

Capacity

We manufacture a full range of nut types, in all thread forms (imperial and metric), with sizes starting from as small as 14BA. Many types and sizes are available from stock and specials are supplied to order.

We produce specials to drawings/samples, full nuts, lock nuts, shear nuts radio nuts, castle nuts, slotted nuts, nylock nuts as well as spacers, washers & inserts.

Materials

We manufacture parts in most materials including brass, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, aluminium bronze & phosphor bronze.

Flexibility

The majority of our nut production and the supply of many other types of fasteners and turned parts is concentrated at our main production facility in Hertfordshire. Raw materials, manufacturing, sales and despatch departments are all strategically located to ensure total flexibility and a high standard of service to customers. Delivery is through our own transport fleet, supplemented by a national network of express carriers to cater for those very urgent demands.

Expansion in 1998 was implemented by the opening of our second production and distribution site in Stourbridge in the West Midlands. This expanded our prodution capabilities, allowing us not only to extend our range but also to shorten our lead times & react quicker to customers demands.

Strict quality control procedures are applied to every aspect of our operations. In particular, all production processes conform accurately to the stringent specifications and standards demanded by our customers and follows the ISO9001 quality manual.
